Hi, I'm Alex, a filmmaker and photographer based in Berkshire. I'm the in-house filmmaker at Overbury, where I handle every stage of production myself, from the first idea to the final delivery. I'm driven by the process as much as the result, and I care about making visuals that feel effortless but leave a lasting impression.

What I care about most is story. A beautiful shot is only worth something if it serves a purpose, so I start by asking what the film is really about and who the people at its centre are. Information gets you from A to B, but the "why" is what makes someone feel something. I look for the real people and real moments behind a project and try to build stories that are emotional, honest, and that work commercially as well as personally. Light, camera movement and the small technical choices are how I bring the story to life.

Outside of work, I’ve been training for a half ironman. It's taught me discipline, patience and how to keep going when it gets tough, and I bring the same mindset to my filmmaking. I'm also happiest when I'm travelling, whether that's a camper van trip through the Scottish Highlands or a new city to explore with a camera in hand. This portfolio is a collection of the work and moments I'm proudest of.
